>>having essentially pulled a Putin.>>

That phrase alone is priceless, and worthy of historical preservation. Public shaming is more potent than cannon against these types of egotists.

It's not Democrats against Republicans. It's war. Either EVERYBODY in Congress signs the dotted line for war, or the U.S. should not go to war. No free passes for ANYONE on this - whether they have an R or a D after their name. My grandsons are not available as political cannon fodder.

Well, sure. They need more cannon fodder.

Working hard to learn to be cannon fodder, and to kill other cannon fodder. Congratulations!

And yeah I know this goes against the prevailing view here, but heck a lot of y'all know me, I'm a firebrand and a loose cannon. By all means, argue against my points here, y'all know I can take it and actually I love y'all for it. And most of the time I'm thoroughly on yer side. Cheers!

People they were fighting for? What total drivel and nonsense. They are fighting for imperialist ambitions of the U.S. and thankfully, it is a losing war with the pitiful U.S. being kicked around, justifiably so, every where in the world. No one really cares about these military types or there would be more people signing on; they are seen as cannon fodder and better them to fight the imperial wars than me. the person we should admire are the nurses and Doctors without borders who do some good not evil. The silly CEO of
Starbucks: he would have gone if he had been drafted. What stopped him form enlisting? He would have sen better off becoming cannon fodder than a terrible coffee shop that no decent hum will enter.

How about that Arab Spring?
Libya, Syria, Africa...boy oh boy. The freedom to oppress...
What is the lesser of two evils? The oppressive strongman who keeps a lid on it?
...or the fanaticals who want to blow themselves up and kill us non-muslims just because we dare to be different?

Our US boots on the ground will not be a good thing. Why is Biden promising to chase them to the gates of hell? Also, why isn't he quoted on the front page of this paper? Isn't that news worthy?

The Sunni's and Shiites need to figure this out. Not us. Saudi Arabia and the other states there need to supply the young cannon fodder. Not us. Our presence will only unite them and not sort out their real problems.

"These people are not just economic units or cannon fodder to be bought, sold and moved about as slaves,"

I wouldn't be so patronizing. There are millions and millions living in nice houses and driving new German cars that are as much "cannon fodder" as the supposed poor. Just on a higher level.
You'd be surprised how many of the upper middle class are only a few paychecks from poverty.

Clearly he was disconnected from life somewhere, and I never said loner or loose cannon which are terms that describe intention not circumstance.
