Winning Progressive make a very salient point in regard to lead in atmosphere and paints. But one thing is certain, learning is as not much admired or respected as it once was. In so many areas of this country, "It's not cool to be smart " Now that's a crime. Conversely it should be " It's a crime to be stupid " and stupid is what our country breeds and raises, stupidity of racism, bigotry, intolorance, and non compromise of position. what we have is a nation of mental midgets, who cannot fathom the depth of whats to come beccause they can't even believe science, now how dumb can one be. Lead ? These people must have eaten every day for years.
Nick if we're getting smarter, you scare the bejabbers out of me !!

Gerald,

Put down the cool-aid glass and think with your own brain for a change. sherparick is right.
And to your point that "The early pioneers and settlers of the USA had to provide their own military defense against Indians, police, firefighters, schoolteachers, blah blah blah." Are you still using those roads that pioneers built. Did they provide us with electricity and the infrastructure for that too? Maybe you would like to live in the world of the pioneers, but too bad the romantic myth of "Good ole days" is just that, a myth. We all pool our resources to live together, last I checked humans are pack animals.

And what does talk of Taxes have to do with Wage stagnation? We are not getting paid by taxes. The point is it's the wealthy that are hoarding cash, made on the backs of workers.
