Huber, you make sense until your last sentence.

Israel lives under siege and threat of annihilation but is democratic and clearly no more a repressive state like North Korea than the United States (which is also democratic, although perhaps imperfectly so like Israel.

I suggest that you confront your biases, and take a lengthy trip to Israel----and while there open your eyes and look around to see life there as it actually is. Then visit its neighbors, Syria, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia for a reality check.

You can tell the Libs and going to lose big this year, as articles like this come out. If the Dems were a lock to win this year, you would not even sniff this editorial.

You want to eliminate the angst of governing and campaigning constantly? Term limits for all of these clowns, and barring them from cashing in on lobbying jobs for 10 years.

Bill Gates has already contributed, and who are you to tell people how to spend their money? Perhaps you should open your check prior to telling others to do so.

Check out your local Episcopal Church. Ours is openly accepting of gays. Communion is open to everyone who comes to the rail.

Fraud, it is happening more every day. On the internet, in the financial industry, in representations by both sides of the isle on issue. In modern society if there is a chance to gain by playing with the rules, someone is taking advantage of that chance.
Almost everyday I get asked for ID. Be it cashing a check, flying, going in and out of government offices, yes, government offices, etc. Presenting ID is a standard everyday task in modern society. If we don't do it for voting, someone is going to play on that loop hole.
And the statement that there is virtually "no in person voter fraud" is absurd. There is no way that statement can be made without forcing people to show positive ID. Even then, who say's the ID is valid? When I coached youth soccer I had 8th graders photo shopping their birth certificates to play on the 7th grade team.
Folks, we are talking about the people with the least amount of integrity of any organization in the country, the political establishment.
They lie, cheat and deceive us every day. Why wouldn't they play on the no-voter id situations?

I am a news junkie.

Partisan beliefs get in the way of truth.
It's important to keep and open mind.

It's also important to remain skeptical and question.

I am unequivocally not interested in the Indian edict of marriage. It works for them and they can surely keep it. You cannot give a couple of examples from a population of billion+ and tell the world that it is a good rule to follow. Look at the Indians at large around you. They are frustrated, and I almost never see any of them with a smile on their faces: seems like they are carrying the burden of the world on their shoulders. In fact, in these two examples, I can point out the reasons why they got hitched in the first place. One is the doctor---good income. In the other case, the guy has a business--again good income. Inside, I am not sure how happy they are.

The critical success factor in any relationship is communication and I can categorically say that an Indian (this includes Pakistani, Afghan, Iranian, Arab--that general area) woman will stop listening, will not be open to any kind of compromise to solve a issue unless it is HER point of view. This type of behavior changes the entire relationship dynamic and causes extreme frustration for the man. Also, I have seen these same "traditional" women have a holier than thou attitude towards the western women whilst they go and sleep around secretly. Yes, they do, do not be fooled by them. And, they will spy on you, check your phone records, call your friends to see where you have been, look at the car's odometer to see where you went, ad infinitum.

I agree with the person who said, this is a very dangerous article.

Frank,
Why don't you visit your local video store and check out a documentary on poverty in America. It will open your eyes (and possibly your mind). You obviously speak out of near total ignorance about the plight of others and you probably don't give a damn about those less fortunate than you. Whatever happened to caring about your fellow American (or human being for that matter). People like you are what's wrong with America today.
