Yeah, because we aren't throwing enough money down the drain of union controlled public education already. And you are free to send a big check to the government anytime you see fit if you are that concerned about it.
Send thousands of happy, prosperous, free and open handed Cuban Americans to visit and give gifts to their relatives. The Castro government will have to impose their own embargo to keep the free Americans out just as East Germany had to keep out the free West Germans. We have been doing Cuba's dirty work for over sixty years.
I mean, how dumb can you get?
If you value life then support free Universal Healthcare, and send money to support the hungry and homeless.
Words are cheap.
Send them to Washington DC and have them use 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue as their address-get them all new clothes,an iPhone, an iPad, $200 sneakers, a guarantee of free college tuition, a welfare check, free obamacare including dental and drugs(not one that their families deal in), a big screen tv, and best yet a whole bunch of other free goodies that the democrats have waiting for them.
We send help and money because we are the only ones who can do that. Others follow us. Winning WWII made us the leader of the free world. Better that responsibility than the alternative.
Send us your tired, your poor, your hungering masses yearning to breathe free, and we'll clap them in irons and send them back where they came from.
The amount you pay for school tuition is money you can't save for college. If you can't afford to live in a wealthy neighborhood with excellent schools, you send your child to a private school free of the social problem-ridden public school where you can afford to live. Many non-Catholics send their children to Catholic high schools for this reason. This is a real expense and one that lower and middle-income families sacrifice to make for the sake of their children. I'm glad to hear that expense is taken into account on financial aid applications.
